JAN

Jan began piano lessons when she was six; and by age 12 was playing both the piano and organ for her church.  Attending the Stamps School of Music and Jeffress School of Music she was mentored during her formative years by several legends of gospel music. In her teens, she formed a trio with her sister, Lisa, and girlfriend, Debbie. Dubbed the “Christianaires," they regularly ministered in the surrounding North Louisiana area, often performing with such gospel greats as The Happy Goodmans, The Blackwood Brothers, The Cathedrals, Dottie Rambo, and others.

A gifted pianist, Jan taught private piano, organ, accordion, and voice lessons for many years. Throughout the years Jan has appeared on several Christian TV and radio stations in the US and other countries. She also served as choir director for several churches, and is currently the Minister of Music and Praise & Worship Leader at her home church. Jan has received numerous music award nominations from several music organizations for female vocalist, songwriter, song of the year and others.

In recent years, she has devoted herself to the international ministry she and her husband oversee that began in 1976 - AEGA Ministries International. Together they have worked in many areas of ministry, including pastoring, evangelizing, missions, and Christian Education. Today the Harbucks travel extensively, ministering both at home and overseas. Jan is also a founding member of ICCAN - Int'l Cowboy Church Alliance Network.

Jan currently holds Doctorates in Church Music and Office Administration, as well as Church Tax & Law. She makes her home in Monroe, Louisiana with her husband, Dr. Henry Harbuck, and their pet dog, Mindy. The Harbucks have one daughter, Tanya, a son, Jeremy, and two grandchildren, Jimmy and Cassey.
